IB Internal Assessment Support

Build a stronger IA with focused, subject-specific guidance.

Get help choosing a workable direction, refining your research question, strengthening your analysis and understanding what the assessment criteria are really asking for.

Currently Supported

IA guidance across six popular IB subjects

Choose the subject that fits your IA. The support is tailored to the type of investigation, analysis and assessment expectations in that course.

What You Can Get Help With

Support at the points where students usually get stuck

01

Topic & scope

Test whether your idea is focused, feasible and capable of supporting enough subject-specific depth.

02

Research question

Turn a broad interest into a clearer question, aim or problem that gives the investigation a useful direction.

03

Analysis & reasoning

Identify where the argument, mathematics, evidence, data treatment or interpretation needs more development.

04

Criteria & structure

Understand how the assessment criteria apply to your work and make the final report easier to follow.

How It Works

A simple guidance process

You do not need to arrive with a finished IA. Support can begin at the idea stage or later when you already have an investigation in progress.

STEP 01 Choose your subject

Tell us which IA you are working on and your current stage.

STEP 02 Share the challenge

Bring your idea, question, data, draft or the specific issue you are stuck on.

STEP 03 Work through it

Use subject-specific tutoring to understand the problem and improve your approach.

STEP 04 Revise your own work

Apply the feedback and make the final academic decisions yourself.

Academic Integrity

Guidance that helps you think—not someone doing the IA for you

IA support should strengthen your understanding and decision-making while preserving the authenticity of the work you submit.

We can help you

  • evaluate whether an idea has enough scope and depth
  • understand difficult mathematics, science or subject concepts
  • identify weaknesses in your method, reasoning or analysis
  • understand the criteria and improve how clearly you communicate your work

The submitted work remains yours

  • You choose and own the final research direction.
  • You perform the investigation and make the academic decisions.
  • You write and submit your own final IA.
  • Your school and IB requirements always take priority.

Have an IA idea but not sure what to do next?

Tell us your subject and where you are in the process. We can help you identify the most useful next step and connect you with appropriate guidance.

Common Questions

IA support FAQ

Do I need to have an IA topic already?
No. You can seek guidance while comparing possible directions, after you have chosen a topic, or later when you already have data or a draft in progress.
Can you help me choose a research question?
We can help you evaluate and refine possible questions, explain what makes a question workable, and challenge the scope. The final research direction and submitted work should remain your own.
What if my subject is not listed?
Contact us and tell us the subject. The service list can expand as suitable subject specialists become available, so additional IB subjects can be added to this page later without changing its structure.
Can I get help if I have already started writing?
Yes. Guidance can focus on a specific difficulty—for example your analysis, mathematical reasoning, experimental design, interpretation, structure or understanding of the assessment criteria.
